There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.
These include:
uniforms
school books and equipment
excursions
- co-curricular activities.
Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.
For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.
Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
Subject Fees
We ask for financial contributions to cover the costs of materials used by your child in some elective subjects that go beyond the minimum requirements of the curriculum. These subject fees are mandatory. Individual arrangements can be made confidentially if you cannot pay these costs.
Mandatory Subject Technology Access Fee
The school has a mandatory fee to cover the costs involved in providing technology to all students across all subjects. This allows us to ensure that our technology keeps up with the demands of educating students in today's world.
Payments
Below are the options our school offers for the payment of school fees:
- cash or EFTPOS at the fees window in D block office
- online payments via the School Website. Please see attached instructions for Parent Online Payments
- credit card over the phone
- using the EFTPOS payment form (PDF 202KB).
- the completed form can be either sent into the school or emailed to: greystanes-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
There is also the option to use the school payment plan (PDF 94KB). Please note that our minimum EFTPOS payment is $20.

An envelope is available for your convenience which you can collect from D block office.
Refunds
In the event of a student being entitled to a refund, these funds will sit as a credit on the student account. The funds can be directed to the payment of any future student fees or activities, such as contribution fees, excursions, bus cards or subject fees.
Receipts
Please check your receipts for accuracy. In the event of any discrepancies please contact the school.
Advance payments
We now have the facility to accept advance payment of school contribution and subject fees. These payments will sit in the student account as a credit.
Parent payments
We appreciate the effort of parents to visit the school and to make payments. To minimise your wait time just a reminder that payments can be made over the phone using a credit card. We would also ask that if you are attending the school to make payments that you avoid recess and lunch times as you may experience lengthy delays due to students accessing the receipting window.
